Speaking during a media interaction in Abuja, General Nafiu noted that the scheme has evolved significantly from its 1973 beginnings, where it started with just 2,364 corps members, to its current scale of mobilising approximately 400,000 graduates annually.   Abuja, Nigeria – November 11, 2025 – The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the release of call-up numbers for the 2025 Batch C Prospective Corps Members (PCMs), prioritizing those who registered earliest. The move comes as the organization grapples with limited camp spaces across the country. In an official statement posted on X (formerly Twitter) by the NYSC National Directorate Headquarters, management explained that due to capacity issues in orientation camps in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), only about 40% of registered PCMs will be accommodated in the upcoming Batch C program.
